In the movie Ip man 2 after he finishes the big fight, they ask him what do you want to do? He said I want to go home.
To some, winning is only meaningful if they truly have someone who would feel it for them. They don’t care about the approvals of millions they care about a few and mostly one.
When that one person equates you to a worthless penny or less, the will and want to win goes away. That one persons loss of faith causes a doubt in their hearts that never really leaves. Their instinct leaves them the power to start something but they no longer can see it through.
I guess we should be careful in our accusations and words we speak in anger. They may just cause one to loose all direction and hope.
