If your life is harsh much like a Sahara, it is understandable to seek refuge. When the choices are less exciting and much dire in consequence they also become simpler. It may even result in one being more comfortable in chaos due to the simplicity of decisions needed.
Man is forever a slave to the survival instinct hardwired in. So you seek mirages, you can love them with the peace of mind that they are a temporary refuge, but you won’t have to commit to them and there will be plenty more. It becomes ingrained in a badouin to never seek a home. Only a place to shelter.
Too bad, most of us cannot learn the art of living without roots. We forever seek a home, too bad some of us will never find it.
